ASME SA193 B8M/ SA320 B8M

We produce screws and stud bolts in A193 B8M and A320 B8M. This is a NI-Cr austenitic not tempered stainless steel, hardening through cooling warping. It has a higher corrosion resistance than the type 304 regarding the pitting caused by chloride ions.

A193 B8M and A320 B8M is mainly used for equipment like pressure vessels, heat exchangers, parts of furnaces and industries like chemical, pharmaceutical, photographic, food, textile and paper orthopaedic.

The corrosion resistance is excellent in atmosphere and in great variety of salts, organic acids and foods substances; it is quite goods regarding poor solutions of reducing acids, better with respect to other austenitic steels without Mo, to halides and to sea water.

Given the low content of carbon steel , the type 316L is slight susceptible to intercrystalline corrosion, anyway we recommend to avoid the slow heating and cooling between 450-900°C.

The after-welding treatment is not necessary when the welded sections have a thickness lower than 25mm.

ASME SA193 B8 / ASME SA320 B8

We produce screws and stud bolts in A193 B8 and stud bolts in A320 B8. This is a NI-Cr austenitic not tempered stainless steel, hardening through cooling warping with better workability.

This alloy is mainly used for the fastening activities in food production and preservation industry, chemical industry, architectonic and automobile industry.

At solubled status, it is corrosion resistant to several substances of chemical, textile, oil, dayring and food industries.

Considering the less content of carob steel, the type 304 is less subject to intercrystalline corrosion than type 302.

We recommend to avoid slow cooling and heating processes between 450-900°C-

A193 B8 and A320 B8 has a good heat oxidation resistance up to 850°C in current “on order” conditions, upto 800°C in in fitful “on-order” conditions. It can be welded without any particular problem, but we recommend not to use austenitic steel electrodes types AISI 308 or 347. The after-welding treatment is not necessary when the welded sections have a thickness lower than 25mm.

INCOLOY® Alloy 925 UNS N09925

INCOLOY® 925 is austenitic steel with nickel-iron-chromium base with additions of molybdenum,titanium aluminum and copper for precipitation hardening. Excellent corrosion resistance coupled with high mechanical strength obtained from precipitation hardening makes INCOLOY® 925 an upper grade, comparable to that of INCOLOY ® alloy 825.

Generally this alloy has got the characteristics of high resistance to corrosion, crevice corrosion, and stress-corrosion cracking in many aqueous environments including those containing sulphides and chlorides.

INCOLOY® 825 and INCOLOY® 925 is used widely for the production of equipments and components for Oil & Gas Industry.

BBI are manufactures for screws in DIN 912, DIN 933 stud bolt DIN 976 e ANSI/ASME 16.5, nuts DIN 934 H=D and ANSI/ASME 18.2.2 machined / hot forged.

ASTM A193 B8R NITRONIC 50 XM-19

BBI manufacturers stud bolts and nuts ASTM A193 B8R NITRONIC 50 XM-19 Stainless Steel. This provides a combination of corrosion resistance and strength. This austenitic stainless steel has got high corrosion resistance compared to Types 316, 316L, 317 and 317L, plus approximately twice the yield strength at room temperatures. In addition, ASTM A193 B8R NITRONIC 50 XM-19 stainless steel has very good mechanical properties at both elevated and sub-zero temperatures. Unlike many austenitic stainless steels, ASTM A193 B8R NITRONIC 50 XM-19 does not become magnetic when cold worked or cooled to sub-zero temperatures. High Strength (HS) ASTM A193 B8R NITRONIC 50 XM-19 stainless steel has a yield strength about three to four times that of Type 316 stainless steel.

Material Notes:

Nickel content above includes cobalt. Iron content as remainder. IN718 is considered the material of choice for the majority of aircraft engine components with service temperatures below 1200°F (650°C). Inconel 718 is a precipitation-hard enable nickel-chromium alloy containing also significant amounts of iron, niobium, and molybdenum along with lesser amounts of aluminum and titanium. It combines corrosion resistance and high strength with outstanding weld ability including resistance to post weld cracking. The alloy has excellent creep-rupture strength at temperatures to 1300°F (700°C).

ASME SA453 GR 660 A/B/C/D

BBI is specialized in the supply of stud bolts and nuts ASTM A453 GR 660, Alloy 286, 1.4980 materials. It is a precipitation hardening steel heat resistant, recommended in case of high mechanical resistance and corrosion resistance up to 700°C. It is suitable to be used in jet engines, turbines, gears, paddles, nuts, bolts, spring washers and other devices that require high temperatures resistance.

The corrosion resistance of ASTM A453 GR 660 - ASTM A286 GR 660 is excellent up to 700°C. The oxidation resistance is good up to 800°C in current “on-order” conditions and up to 980°C in fitful “on-order” conditions.

ASTM A453 GR 660 - ASTM A286 GR 660 can be protected arc welded or arc welded in inert atmosphere. We recommend soluble not aged condition. Soluble operation up to 980°C lasting 1 hour and rapid cooling (by air or by water). Precipitation aging at 720°C lasting 16 hours. Forging gap 1150°C up to 1050°C avoiding to go down 930°C. The warping resistance is higher than the austenitic steels one.

Duplex ASTM A182 F55

We produce SUPERDUPLEX ASTM A182 F55, UNS 32760, EN 1.4501 screws, stud bolts and nuts realized in double-phase stainless steel Cr-Ni-Mo-N pitting resistant and stressed corrosion resistant.

ASTM A182 F55 is an austenitic and ferritic structural stainless steel with a good mechanical and corrosion resistance. It is suitable to be used in case of parts, valves and pumps under pressure and subject to corrosion and in case of centrifugal pumps under heavy corrosive conditions. It is the best material among the types austenitic Cr-Ni even in presence of chlorides and moreover when further to corrosive conditions we also have mechanical stress. The corrosion resistance of ASTM A182 F55 gets the maximum result at soluble status and we recommend not to use it at temperatures higher than 300°C.

ASTM A182 F55 can be welded by using common means and can gets soluble after the welding operation.
