Designed to ascertain steel-to-steel connections, Structural bolts (heavy hex) are generally very short in length. A325 and A490 specifications are normally not meant for general applications which include anchor bolts. When it comes to applications, substituting A449 for A325 and A354 grade BD for A490 is considered ideal.
