Currently, BBI provides a selected range of shear plates which are “Baseline Bolt” branded.
Shear plate wood connectors available with us are largely meant for wood-to-steel or wood-to-wood connections in demountable structures and also when they tend to be used in pairs. Shear plates normally spread the load besides minimizing the number of bolts required.
Furthermore, shear plates are used to attach columns to footings though connecting steel gusset plates, steel straps, transferring weight in bowstring trusses & for different other steel to wood connections, particularly in timber structures.
